Terbinafine interferes with squalene epoxidase during ergosterol biosynthesis, resulting in accumulation of squalene within the fungal cell and ergosterol deficiency in the fungal membrane. Squalene accumulation acts as an effective toxin. Itraconazole, an azole antifungal drug, inhibits the lanosterol 14α-demethylase (CYP51) enzyme in the fungal cell, leading to the blockage of ergosterol biosynthesis. Dosage and Administration

Terbinafine and Itraconazole Cream should only be applied externally.
